Our True Nature

Life Lives Us. We are Lived

The One Life is Omnipresent, which means it is Present in all locations without favour to any.

There is no place in the Universe where there is more of the One Life or any place where there is less of the One Life. (If it was peanut butter you would say that it is spread perfectly evenly.)

Whatever happens is an expression of the One Life. This means everything. The very, very 'good' bits and the very, very 'bad' bits.

All is an expression of the One Life, excluding nothing. Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama to Stalin, Hitler and Idi Amin. This is the full spread of duality - the Lot!!

It cannot be said that the One Life is the Source of the Universe, or that the One Life controls all that happens in the Universe. That would mean that the Universe and the One Life are essentially separate, One of which is the Source/ Controller. That is Dualistic.

Ramana Maharshi, the great Indian sage, maintained that

"there is a single immanent reality, directly experienced by everyone, which is simultaneously the source, the substance and the real nature of everything that exists.... is not the creator of the universe, the universe is merely a manifestation of its inherent power and is inseparable from it."

We are an expression of the One Life. Life Lives us.

The One Life also expresses itself as all other humans, all of the living world, and all of the non-living world as well.

The Aliveness is there in humans, cats, hyenas, great white sharks, elephants, cuddly little lambs, one celled animals, termites etc. It is the same life. There is no distinction or separation between any of the life forms.

None have more Aliveness than any other. None have less Aliveness - as it is a quality of Aliveness, rather than quantity.

Humans have the same Aliveness and also have conceptual thought. Other Animals have Aliveness. Plants have Aliveness. There is only one Aliveness - the One Life.

Natural Functioning for a cat, or a horse, or a mouse is living from that innate Aliveness in the 'catty' way, the 'horsie' way or the 'mousy' way.

The Natural Functioning of a human is functioning in the absence of the 'me', the Reference Point, which is a product of conceptual thought.

Living without an identity crisis. No illusory 'me' claiming Life.

Living from the innate Aliveness / Awareness / Consciousness / Intelligence - Energy.

Natural Functioning in the human way includes the full range of opposites in all their glory (Duality), as it does for all living forms.

It is a error to expect that Natural Functioning only includes the 'good stuff'. It includes all the so called 'bad stuff' as well. No cherry picking here!

Our true nature is not the 'me'.

Our true nature is not the 'human' with its Natural Functioning either.

Our true nature is not a form of life - it is Life Itself.

The One Life, also known as Presence- Awareness, only exists in the immediacy of the present moment - the only place where anything exists. It is the Eternal Now, which is outside time.

In the Eternal Now, which is all that exists, there is no destiny and no karma.

In the Eternal Now there is Awareness, Aliveness, Consciousness, Life Itself, God.

The One Life.

We are Lived.
